CCGB has been named after Capt Ammar Hussain Shaheed, Sitara-e- Juraat, the great son of soil, who laid his life in the supreme cause of defence of motherland in July 1999 during Kargil war.
Capt Ammar Hussain ex SSG and Capt Karnal Sher Khan ex NLI were PMA coursemates and joined together at Kargil Sector in establishing new posts and subsequently defending those. On 5 July1999, Capt Ammar received information that a few friendly
troops were stuck up under heavy fire of enemy. Capt Ammar immediately planned and moved forward to rescue them. He, along with his teammates, repulsed the Indian attack and safeguarded own troops. After having failed a few attempts of attack, the Indians on the same night, ringed the posts of Captain Ammar Hussain with the help of two battalions and unleashed heavy mortar fire and managed to capture some part of land. Despite all odds, Capt Ammar and Capt Karnal Sher led a counter-attack and re-captured the lost posts. During the encounter, they were hit by the machine-gun fire and embraced ‘SHAHADAT’. Capt Ammar was so well forward in enemy area that his body could not also be recovered and was burried there in the hills of Kargil. In recognition of his great sacrifice, he was honoured with the gallantry award of Sitara e Juraat. The college is dedicated to him, and his faith, spirit, and courage would remain an inspiration for us all, i.e.. for Cadet College in particular and the people of Pakistan in general.

It is with immense pleasure that I welcome you to our college website. This College is dedicated to a hero of our nation; Capt Ammar Hussain Shaheed, SJ, who emerged as a symbol of bravery during Kargil war of 1999, sacrificed his mortal life in the supreme cause of defence of motherland and became immortal.
In this cause, we shall always seek inspiration from the valour, courage, leadership qualities, and unwavering spirit exhibited by the great son of the soil.
As Principal, I not only wish to nurture the academic and co-scholastic needs of the cadets but also wish to create memories that would contribute to the personality, build confidence, and be cherishing.
Education is not merely acquiring knowledge and finding mutual relation of the facts and statistics; it is rather to see the significance of life as a whole. Thus, our education and grooming go beyond the syllabus. It is my desire to keep the focus on enhancing cadets’ potential and achievement by contributing to the development of their personalities, polishing skills, and teaching morality.
Further, the discipline remains the hallmark of the cadets here as a young boy who is taught discipline will learn the power of self-control. Freedom, to be truly just, needs the guidance of discipline. I am confident that with the help of our well-trained and professional faculty, we have the credentials to help your ward achieve his very best and serve our country in an efficacious way. In sha Allah
